JULY 2017

On July 6th 2017, we were blessed with beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures to officially open our new, bespoke headquarters at “The Old Pop Factory”, Dodworth near Barnsley. The quaint name for our address we adopted as a nod to the former occupiers of the site, a local & well-respected soft drinks manufacturer.

With the drinks on ice and even a wood-fired pizza oven on site, it was a perfect opportunity for customers, suppliers and friends of the business to obtain a flavour of what we do.

Displaying 3D survey outputs as a Virtual Reality experience proved immensely popular with all visitors. The Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets were constantly in use.

Hosting an official opening also gave us the chance to provide our customers with a more in-depth overview of the range of surveying technologies we utilise, including ground penetrating radar, CCTV camera systems, robotic total stations & 3D laser scanners.

Completed facility

July 6th 2017 marked the end of an arduous two-year journey, which has seen the site rescued from ruin and dereliction. The 18th century farmhouse facade has been sensitively restored to maintain period character. The combination of vintage sandstone buildings with modern glass and structural steel elements has transformed the site into the functional yet elegant 21st century complex of today.
