Not content with being the first company to utilise the Faro Focus3D laser scanner, or with being the first to offer a bespoke 3D surveying apprenticeship, 1ST HORIZON are pleased to announce another “1ST” in the shape of a unique rebrand and website launch in our eleventh year of trading.

The past three years have been exciting times for 1ST HORIZON. Since 2014, the size of the workforce has effectively doubled & we have seen significant year-on-year growth as well relocation to a bespoke headquarters, built with the future in mind.

What better way to continue the trend than with a complete rebranding of our corporate identity and the launch of a sophisticated, content-driven presence on the web.

Whilst this move heralds significant change for the company, we felt that it was important to keep some continuity and retain key elements of our previous identity. The striking orange / grey contrast colour scheme remains, as does the 1ST HORIZON name and the horizon line in the logo. Nevertheless, there is more to a logo than simply meets the eye, as Managing Director, Jim Garside, explains. “The prefix “1ST” signifies the Number 1, in line with our vision and objectives, to be regarded as the best in our field. “HORIZON” can be defined as the limit of a person’s knowledge or experience. We, however, see our horizon without limits as we are always striving to improve and grow.”

The relaunch of the website sets out to document and showcase 1ST HORIZON’s multi-disciplinary skillset which includes 3D laser scanning, CAD/BIM, utility surveys, CCTV / drainage surveys, topographical and aerial surveys. With a bold, new website driven with captivating video, image content and links to multiple social media channels, 1ST HORIZON intends to stamp a firm presence on the web for the future.
