Utility Surveys
TYPES OF SURVEYUTILITY INVESTIGATIONS CAN INCLUDE...

DESK-TOP STUDY
Statutory authority records are sourced and reviewed as an entirely office-based investigation into the presence of buried services.

LOW LEVEL SURVEY
Records and site plans are sourced and reviewed on site. Visual confirmations are made on the presence & position of utilities.

ENHANCED SURVEYS
Thorough, non-invasive, investigations are carried out on site using GPR, RFL & other conventional investigation methods.

SPECIALIST GEOPHYSICS
For more complex geophysical studies other methods including resistivity, seismic & electromagnetic are used for investigations.

VACUUM EXCAVATION
Often utilised to minimise risk of damage, vacuum excavation allows the position of services to be positively confirmed.

TRIAL PITTING
Where vacuum excavation is not practical we are able to carefully excavate (by hand) to expose buried services.
Benefits of Utility Surveys
HOW CAN YOU BENEFIT?
The primary benefit of underground utility investigation is the fact that it provides our clients with a best possible understanding of subsurface conditions & the location of service routes within a specific site.
In the construction industry it is considered mandatory that, before carrying out any construction work or intrusive ground investigation, an underground utility survey must be carried out. Risk of service strikes through site work is therefore hugely reduced.
